Yes. Local tools (compress, merge, split, image-to-PDF, PDF-to-image, encrypt, watermark, OCR) are free with no registration and no usage limit. Cloud tools have daily limits for free users: PDF to Word/Excel/PPT 1 per day, Word/Excel/PPT to PDF 3 per day, and 1 AI Document Restore per account. Pro ($9.99/month or $59.99/year) raises these limits and allows larger files.

The web app (app.allinpdfapp.com) works in modern browsers. A native iOS app is available on the App Store. The Android app is not yet available on Google Play.

No account needed for local features (compress, merge, split, encrypt, watermark, local OCR). Google login is required for cloud features (PDF/Office conversion, AI Restore, AI OCR) to track usage quotas.

Local tools process files entirely in your browser, so files never leave your device. PDF-to-Word/Excel/PPT and Office-to-PDF upload the file for cloud conversion. AI Document Restore and AI OCR send only rendered page images, not the original file. Transfers are encrypted, and Allin PDF does not store file contents or log file names.

Local tools use JavaScript PDF libraries (pdf-lib and @cantoo/pdf-lib) running in a Web Worker, and pdf.js for rendering pages. The free OCR engine, tesseract.js, runs as WebAssembly. The PDF is read and written on your device, so nothing is sent over the network and speed does not depend on your upload speed.

For sensitive documents, use only local features (compress, merge, split, encrypt, watermark) — these never transmit your file. Avoid cloud features for highly confidential documents. PDF Encrypt adds AES-256 protection locally.

AI Document Restore uses Google Gemini multimodal models to remove handwritten content from scanned documents (exam papers, forms) while preserving printed text. It processes one page per run, requires sign-in and an internet connection, and sends only the rendered page image. Free accounts get 1 document (lifetime); Pro gets 50 per day.

Results depend on the document, so we do not quote a fixed accuracy figure. It works best when printed text is clear, handwriting is in dark ink and clearly separate from the print, and the scan is sharp (around 300 DPI).

Yes. Cancel anytime and keep Pro access until the end of the billing period. Web subscriptions are billed through Lemon Squeezy. App Store subscriptions are managed via iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, plus other Chromium-based browsers (Brave, Opera). Mobile browsers (Chrome on Android, Safari on iOS) work too, though drag-to-reorder may not be available. Internet Explorer is not supported.

Yes. The web app is fully responsive. On iPhone and iPad you can also use the native iOS app from the App Store. The Android app is not yet available on Google Play.
